Hi Dave! Thanks for the feedback - it's good to hear from you. Let me see what I can do about getting you an extra copy for the bathroom ;-)

I've been reading the Wrox Ektron Developer's book for a few weeks in short bursts. I find myself reading a section, then going back to Ektron development with new information to implement new ideas... Then read another section, and dashing off to solve another new idea. I wish I had the discipline to sit and read it from front to back. But each new revelation inspires me to go and do new things or refine old things. I wish I had this book 2 years ago. I need an extra copy for the bathroom!

Hi there, just wanted to post a note on this thread that the book is available and has started shipping -- you can find it on online bookstores, including Amazon: http://amzn.to/icNFxW

I'm glad to hear you're looking forward to the book. We're incredibly proud of it and know it will help developers understand how to build a website end to end using ektron. I'm sorry to hear you've found the existing documentation to be frustrating -- can you let me know what areas you've had trouble with? ektron does have a documentation team with great technical writers who are always looking for feedback on how they can improve the ektron reference manual that ships with the product. There's a tremendous amount of information there -- sometimes all it takes is being pointed to the right chapter/page. Let me know how I can help here.

Can't wait for this book. I have a link on my website for it already. I hope it plugs the (innumerable)holes in the ektron documentation and covers advanced topics like implementing and consuming web services in Ektron sites.
